How does the MyPot® Vertical Garden work?
ThePisa Model Vertical Garden by MyPot® consists of 2 to 7 MyPot® planting modules. Each module includes an internal self-watering system (with a 4-litre storage capacity) that constantly provides water and nutrients to the roots of plants, and also includes a level indicatorthat will indicate when the plants need water.
Each planting module includes three bags of 2L of Bio-perlite substrate. Empty one bag inside the module to facilitate good drainage and mix the other two with plant substrate (peat, humus ...) in a 1:1 ratio. Subsequently put the bio-perlite / plant substrate inside the planting module, and it is ready for planting.
Watering with water and nutrients is performed periodically by adding it through the upper module, and once the inner tank of the upper module is filled, the water will then move to the next module and so on until it goes out of the module at the bottom of the system, all planting modules being thus filled with 4 litres of nutrient solution. The level indicator placed in the top module indicates when plants need watering again. To achieve the best possible result and get spectacular growth and flowering, we recommend adding MyFertiPot to the water following the recommended doses, which can be found in our website’s Tutorials section.
Shortly after planting, the roots penetrate the perlite and reach the inner tank of each MyPot® planting module, there they will remain floating in the inner chamber and will never suffer from lack of water, oxygen or nutrients. Thus, plants grow naturally and vigorously creating a beautiful and lush vertical garden in a column.
